Meet Your Instructor

I’m Dawn Charles - photographer, educator, and business owner based in Oregon. After shooting my first wedding in 2009 and officially launching my business in 2013 with a degree in Photography, I went on to photograph over 100 weddings and sell 40,000+ digital products worldwide.

Over the years, I’ve hosted workshops, spoken at global summits, launched a podcast, and opened a photography studio. Now, I balance running multiple businesses with raising three daughters, while focusing on teaching and empowering other creatives to grow their skills and build businesses they love.

I created Rise Academy to help photographers achieve both success and freedom. Creativity will always inspire me, but my true passion is helping other photographers thrive in their work and life.
